About Us
And why we love match making

I'm a mom of three living in exciting New York City. As a former elementary school teacher with a Masters in Education from Columbia University, I spent my career working with children. I understand children's developmental needs, and as a mom, I understand what families need from a caregiver. My family has had incredible experiences with all of our au pairs and we consider all seven of them part of our extended family.
I worked as a summer au pair after my first year of teaching. I'm still in touch with the family and their kids, who are now all in their twenties! After our third child was born, it was my turn to play host.
Ever since, I've become passionate about helping others enjoy this experience as much as we have. One of the great things about hiring an au pair is that they get something out of it too- we've loved sharing our home with these amazing young women, helping them experience New York City, and traveling with them domestically and abroad. We are excited to make many more happy memories.
I look forward to working with you!

I am a Recruiter for Kirkland & Ellis LLP in Houston, Texas. Similarly to Rachel, most of my experience has revolved around children and their education. As a former teacher and a current youth outreach volunteer, I understand that it truly does take a village to raise a child.
I graduated from Texas A&M University with a communications degree as well as a teaching certificate. Directly after graduating I took a teaching position in San Antonio; however, because I graduated early, I had almost 8 months until my teaching career began. That was when I met the Kuchinads who were looking for a new au pair...
After living with Rachel and her family as an au pair, I have encouraged friends of mine to do the same. Not only did I get to live in and explore New York City, but I gained a family there as well. Most young women are hesitant about moving across the country to live with a family they don't know very well. My goal as Director of Placement and as a former au pair myself is to mitigate the nerves and hesitations of both sides of the arrangement. I hope to see many others come together to raise the next generation!
